As a "Notice" at the beginning describes, "This is a limited English edition of the Guide to the Scriptures published for official use only. It is not available to the general public in English. This study aid is for publication only in new and revised non-English editions of the scriptures. Scriptures Committee, December 1993." The Guide was a concise combination of the English Bible Dictionary, Topical Guide and Index for the triple combination that also added definitions/descriptions for non-Bible terms and people. The project had been in the works for at least three years as there are files at the Church History Library from Jan 1990. There was a new version of the Spanish translation (with the "laying on of anuses" typo fiasco) that seems to have driven the project. It is not known how many copies were produced but it seems to be a relatively small number. Condition: Fine. Item #8988
