Salt Lake City: Benchmark Books, 2000. First edition. Leather. Limited to an edition 290 copies in three different bindings. This being one of the 15 copies of the 'Premiere" binding (numbers 1-15, of which this is number 4) is bound in full black leather calf and housed in a clamshell box with matching black cloth. It was printed on an 1891 Chandler & Price from photopolymer plates at the Red Butte Press, in the J. Willard Marriott Library, University of Utah. Each book contains an impression of an original wood engraving. The handmade text paper, printed damp, is Alcantara from Sicily. The leaf in this book is page 65-66 comprising 2 Ne. 2:19 - 2 Ne. 3:9 containing among other verses - "Adam fell, that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy" This copy was purchased from the family of President Thomas S. Monson (it was originally purchased by Sheri Dew at Deseret Book and apparently gifted to Monson.). Condition: Fine. Item #41583
