Full black pebbled leather with blind stamped quadruple rule borders with inner corner "wing-like" designs; small gilt arabesque on front cover (blind stamped on rear cover); spine has a set of three stamped lines at the head and foot and three panels with a "plant-like" design, four false raised bands and the title, author and publisher in gilt; blue floral endsheets and sprayed red edges.
Minor rubbing to head and foot of the spine, corners and edges; evidence of minor repairs to the leather at the foot of the spine; bookplate on front pastedown; two previous owner's name on endsheets and a second set of floral endsheets on top of the originals (possibly placed to fix the inner hinges). Very tight and clean.
A few small chips to the leather at the head of the spine. Covered in Mylar. Condition: Very good. Item #40957
