Marriner Eccles, born in Logan to businessman David Eccles, clearly inherited his father's gifts. He parlayed a very successful career in banking into national-scale positions. Eccles came to the attention of FDR during the early Depression and was consulted with several efforts, like the creation of the FDIC. He was appointed to the powerful position of chairman of the Federal Reserve and held the position for one of the longest tenures ever.
This is a leatherbound edition of the biography published in 1976. It is unclear whether it is a privately produced unique edition-the quality seems to indicate an "official" version but we are unaware of another copy. Condition: Very good+. Item #40102
