Utah Pioneer Jubilee Ornamental Cup
Tin cup with porcelain overlay - line of gold along the top lip and then a wider gold band followed by a pioneer journey scene - ox drawn wagons as well as handcarts; the main panel features a wreath of sego lilies extending around between the Utah State Seal - 1897 below it, and the Utah Pioneer Jubilee logo featuring a large bison with the date 1846 on it; the bottom band features a man on horseback being pursued by several Native Americans on horseback and carrying spears as well as a village of Native American tipis. Bottom edge of cup reads - Commemoration of the Arrival of the First Band of Pioneers into the Valley of the Great Salt Lake July 24th, 1847.
A few blemishes and very small cracks to the porcelain and gold bands. Condition: Near fine. Item #39647
