Joseph C. Bentley was born in Salt Lake City in 1859 and moved with his family to St. George when he was five where he lived until serving a mission to Great Britain from 1879-1881. Upon returning from his mission he marries his first wife and works in St. George and later Ogden before eventually moving to Juarez, Mexico. He lived in the Mormon Mexican colonies for 50 years serving as bishop in Juarez and later the stake president and mission president and eventually married two more wives after the Manifesto in 1890. The biography includes a letter from George Teasdale (p. 108) referring to Bentley receiving his second anointing. Condition: Very good. Item #25746
