Uncle Will Tells His Story

Salt Lake City: Taggart & Company, 1970. First printing. Hardcover/dust jacket. 249pp. Minor tears and chipping to edges of dust jacket; name inside front cover; Signed by Brooks on page following the title page.

Despite her lengthy and productive publishing career, Juanita Brooks did not often sign copies of her books. This was particularly so later in life as her health began to decline. In 1968, the son of Will Brooks brought him a tape recorder and Will began recording various favorite stories from his long, colorful life. Juanta transcribed these narratives and fleshed them out in subsequent conversations. The result was a memoir "unfettered and free of cumbersome formality," just the style to suit Will Brooks. This copy is signed on the page noting her assistance with the book. Condition: Very good. Item #11787
