Leather. iv, 257 + xxv. pp. Full brown leather (sheep) with title embossed on the spine between two bands of decorative gilt tooling and with four double gilt fillets. Leather is heavily worn and rubbed and had a few contemporary tears and repairs on the front cover; some new leather to spine; corners darkened and slightly rounded; Endpapers and first and last few leaves are browned at the edges; two horizontal creases to front pastedown and a single horizontal crease to rear pastedown. Lacking leaves 199/200 and 201/202. Pages 131-142 have been supplied from another slightly narrower copy on fresher paper with edges stained red. Pages 7/8, 9/10, 213-220 are slightly smaller and quite browned and chipped at the edges. Scattered pages have minor stains and smudges. Condition: Very good. Item #37037
