Finally, twenty-six transcripts of full/partial revelations are printed in two columns: the original publication in The Evening and the Morning Star and the edited versions from the reprint Evening and Morning Star. Each text is accompanied by a source note and historical introduction. General introductory material gives a historical overview of the reception and publication of the revelations during Joseph Smith's lifetime as well as the editorial methods used.
