This a collection of diary entries, family letters, and photographs describing a trip from the rural Panhandle of Texas to the bustling and thriving metropolis of Salt Lake City in August and September 1926. The author, Margaret Emma Peery (a native of Texas), and her mother, Margaret Green Peery (a native of Liverpool, England), traveled that summer by train to Utah to visit family and friends, look after the family matriarch, Margaret Railton Green (who was sick), and to celebrate her sixty-first birthday.
