Our good friend Michael Marquardt was nice enough to come by and sign copies of the newly published Lost Apostles: Forgotten Members of Mormonism’s Original Quorum of Twelve (unfortunately, his co-author–Bill Shepard–lives in Wisconsin and wasn’t able to make it out here). Learn fascinating details about the lives of members of the original Quorum like the Johnson brothers, Thomas B. Marsh and William Smith.
We always like early arrivals! The next installment of George Q. Cannon’s journals was released more than a month earlier than we had expected. This huge tome (832 pages!) covers his time in the Hawaiian Mission from 1850 to 1854. General editor Richard Turley provides a very interesting overview of the journals in the introduction and volume editor Chad Orton provides copious annotation to keep things contextualized.
